What is high brightness LCD?
A high brightness LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) refers to a type of display technology that is designed to produce brighter and more vibrant images compared to standard LCDs. The brightness of an LCD is measured in nits, with one nit being equivalent to one candela per square meter (cd/m²). Standard LCDs typically have a brightness level of around 200 to 300 nits.
High brightness LCDs, on the other hand, are characterized by their ability to achieve much higher levels of brightness, often exceeding 1000 nits or even reaching up to 2000 nits or more. This increased brightness is particularly useful in environments with high ambient light, such as outdoor settings or brightly lit indoor spaces, where a standard LCD might struggle to provide clear and visible images.
